Shadow Caddy Follows With Your Golf Gear (video)

This is great!!!
shadow-caddy

Like a dog following its master, the Shadow Caddy effortlessly carries all your golf gear from hole to hole without any instruction or remote control. It tracks you via a transmitter adorned to your belt and includes an object sensor to avoid running into people and objects. To stop the Shadow Caddy you just simply flick the ‘park me’ switch and alternatively hit the ‘follow me’ switch to move to your next hole. The Shadow Caddy has actually been around for sometime now and is available for rental only on select golf courses throughout the world.

This Is a Mouse

clipped from i.gizmodo.com
The 3DConnexion Spacepillot Pro, specifically. It takes 3DConnex's previous SpaceNavigator knob and adds just about everything else a CAD pro, Pixar artist or Second Life sex addict could ever need.

Since I am none of these things, the spec page whirs just above my head. But the inclusion of a mini LCD screen for checking mail and selecting workflow macros is pretty great, as is just about every programmable custom function you could imagine. Mike, a Canadian CAD wizard, knows more than I, and he has a comprehensive review here. It's $500. [3DConnexion via Oh Gizmo, Design Engineering Review]

Magic Bag Re-Sealer Keeps Your Potato Chips Fresh For Life

itouchless-bag-resealer

Time and time again my potato chips (or crisps as the English call them) go stale as a result of a discourteous roommate. Well, stale chips no more. The iTouchless bag Re-sealer gives you that factory sealed finish by heating up and melting the bag back together. Always fresh chips and a great deterrent to thieving roommates. Get a pack of two for $13.

Ingenious Taco Plate Facilitates Rapid Consumption of Tacos

clipped from gizmodo.com

True story: As a child, if my taco fell apart mid-meal, I would start crying. In case you hadn't pieced it together by now, I was a fat child.

If only I'd had this set of taco plates then (just $8 for 6!), I could have made a serious run for juvenile diabetes. Instead, I'm sitting here with a slightly high but reasonable BMI, repressing my crushed dreams/tacos with Freudian levels of emotional aloofness.

It's OK. I don't need your pity. [Solutions via CrunchGear]

Personal Humidifier Uses Water Bottles

Could this be used to humidify cigar / wine humidors?
personal-humidifier

In the dry months some will argue that the key to staying healthy is a humid atmosphere. Unfortunately, it’s totally impractical to lug around a humidifier, that is until now. The Personal Humidifier accepts standard water bottles and uses ultrasonic technology to turn its contents into a cool and rejuvenating mist. It includes two water bottle adapters and glows blue when turned on. Yours for $59.99.

Honeywell Touchscreen Thermostat and Portable Remote Review

clipped from i.gizmodo.com
With two products, a touchscreen thermostat and a wireless portable thermostat remote, Honeywell has changed how I control my heating and cooling forever. In a good way.

The system I have here consists of those two parts: a touchscreen, full color thermostat that takes the place of your current thermostat called the Prestige, and a black and white wireless thermostat remote called the Portable Comfort Control.

The Portable Comfort Control is what's the most revolutionary about this package. It's about the size of two Wiimotes, it's touchscreen and can basically take the place of the thermostat from anywhere in the house. You can set both heating and cooling temp for as many zones as your house has, as well as read the current temperature from the thermostat, the remote itself or an outside sensor.

There’s a crisis going on out there, in the whole world, even if you realize it or not. There’s a crisis alright and every attempt of saving money is more than welcome. And you can do this by saving all those things you need to use on a regular basis. Take electricity, for example.

You know that we often use more electricity than we need, and this is because we don’t give much time and thought to the matter. But, so that you know, this is a very easy way for one to be brought to a morsel of bread in a twinkling of the eye.

If you want to see how much electricity is being used in your house, the only thing you have to do is to just use a small unit that hooks up to the electricity meter and a handheld device, a portable one. The Efergy Elite is made to convert you in an aware human being as far as the energy consumption is concerned.

Swanky In-Floor Kasch Tubs Make Your Crib MTV-Worthy

clipped from i.gizmodo.com

I'm pretty content with my lot in life, but these Red-Dot-Design winning in ground bathtubs from Kasch make me wish I was filthy, stinking rich. I'd just need champagne to complete the elitism.

IZONA CoolDrawer refrigerator chills with your pots and pans

Mooi design voor kleine appartementen
clipped from www.engadget.com

You know, it seems that bigger is always thought to be better when it comes to refrigerators. Each year, we see these already goliath boxes growing even larger, though you won't catch us kvetching about making room for integrated LCDs. To that end, Fisher & Paykel is looking out for those of us cooped up in tiny apartments with the introduction of its IZONA CoolDrawer. As you can see, the unit looks more like a standard cabinet than a real deal fridge, and it reportedly does an outstanding job of preserving the few essentials that bachelors and space-constrained citizens keep on hand. Your guess is as good as ours when it comes to price, but let's just say you'll probably end up paying more for less, sadly.

Universal remotes: Phillips Pronto

NIET MEER NODIG!!!

In the high end market, next to the Logitech Harmony series, there is also the Phillips Pronto series.

"Designed by installers, made by Philips"

The Pronto TSU9800 offers all the advantages of the TSU9600… and more. With a razor-sharp, full-size 6.4” VGA display, two extra buttons and an optical rotary wheel, the Pronto TSU9800 touch screen control panel is even easier to operate than other models. Some consumers will appreciate the readability of the larger screen while others prefer the possibility of displaying more icons or menu options on one single screen.

TSU9800 on dock

Fixed mounting on a wall or table top is now also possible, in just a few easy steps. With an optional accessory, the control panel can be mounted onto any wall. This is the ideal solution for ensuring that the control panel won’t be lost or stolen, whether in a hotel, boardroom or at home.

The docking station provides more than just a solid base, however. A connector at the back of the unit also makes it possible to enjoy the speed and reliability of a fast Ethernet connection.

The clutter of power and network cables is completely hidden from view so that the Pronto TSU9800 always looks clean and sleek.

The perfect extensions for complete system integration

To support total home control and multi-room wireless and wired remote control installations, two types of extenders are available to seamlessly integrate with the TSU9800: the RFX9400 wireless extender and the RFX9600 serial extender.

ProntoEdit Professional

To create the ultimate in customization, the Pronto TSU9800 also comes with the recently updated ProntoEdit Professional software. The latest release also features the exclusive ProntoScript programming functionality, which enables two-way real-time interaction and the creation of a dynamic user interface. The TSU9800 can receive feedback from RS232- or IP-controlled devices in real-time, providing an advanced two-way functionality beyond controlling home entertainment and automation systems.

clipped from www.techpin.com

The bag is equipped with two speakers that are placed at the back, on both sides, close to where the user lays his head. Somewhere deep inside there’s a subwoofer that provides the bass, while the paddle, which one can find to the right and can be used at controlling bass and volume via the power switch. In addition, there are the audio in/out ports, which are nothing but standard headphone jacks, and a headphone-RCA adapter.

The Pyramat gaming bag is available in three color versions, such as black, blue and pink, and it’s made of microfiber beans (stuffed inside) and a fiber that seems like being made by man. As far as the price is concerned, it only costs $89.99.
