Lithium-ion ‘Black & White’ digital wall clock

Making life easy for the users, designer Vadim Kibardin has designed a digital clock called “Black & White Clock” that comes in the shape of figures to tell you accurate time with minimum fuss. Removing the case of a regular wall clock, the digital watch is finished with polycarbonate and Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) and generates power from lithium-ion accumulators. Featuring touch-sensitive controls, each figure of the clock (measuring 60 x 110 x 10mm) works independently and has self-contained power supply. You may autonomously place, rather attach, the translucent white clock on any surface. The clock includes a light sensor that switches it to an invert mode and turns the figures white in the dark and black at daytime.

GreenAir grows living plants for natural air purification

Considering the fact that that indoor air can be more seriously polluted than the outdoor, the GreenAir is an indoor air purifier that grows living plants for fresh air. Research has demonstrated that certain plants are highly effective natural air purifiers. GreenAir employs those plants, which absorb contaminants from the air through the leaves and roots. The combination of plant roots and activated carbon has demonstrated the ability to remove great amount of indoor air pollutants.

Huis Verloo

Mooi weer, bbq's,... => tijd voor een lekkere sigaar!

Om de inhoud van mijn humidor op peil te houden passeer ik normaal langs Huis Verloo dat gelegen is aan "Het Zuid" te Antwerpen op de Leien. Het is een gezellige shop die zijn klanten graag goed verzorgd en je perfect kan voorzien van de nodige uitleg omtrent elke sigaar die ze in hun assortiment hebben zitten.

Achteraan in de winkel hebben ze sinds enkele jaren ook verschillende dranken beschikbaar. Het gaat hier niet om de merken die je in je supermarkt kan vinden, maar wel de meer speciale import.

Mike's Havana House

Toen ik vorig weekend op weg naar huis over de kaai reed passeerde ik Mike's Havana House. En gezien er 20m verder een plekje vrij was kon ik het niet laten om er even binnen te springen.

De inkom van de winkel heeft een soort vide die zich verder in de shop opsplits met een verdiep iets lager en één iets hoger. Op het laagste verdiep is de humidor gevestigd die een U vorm heeft en waar al het pracht ligt te pronken.

Boven is een rokersruimte met gezellige zeteltjes. Zeker eens een bezoekje waard en als ik eens wat meer tijd heb zal ik er zeker eens een uurtje tijd doorbrengen.

De ontvangst was zeer vriendleijk en de uitleg die de "verkoper" kon geven bij elke sigaar was ook top.

Alles samen was het een zeer gezellig bezoek en zal ik er zeker nog eens passeren. Het enige nadeel is dat er niet steeds in de dichte nabijheid perkaarplaats te vinden is...

Bij het buiten gaan was ik weeral 10 sigaren rijker, welke tegen het eind van de zomer in rook zullen opgaan... :-)
