PPC Utilities: RJV SMS Scheduler

Another great Freeware application is rjvsmsscheduler.
If I can choose, I like making a phone call much better than sending an SMS, but, on some occasions, sending an SMS is the only or best sollution.

This usefull applications does add some extra features to sending SMS.

Zoals in vorige post reeds gezegd, kan het aankopen van games een dure zaak zijn. Hoe minder deze dan ook kosten, des te beter.

Bij mijn zoektoch kwam ik terecht bij Play.com.


Play.com is een grote online winkel die voor Europa verzend vanuit de UK. Ze bieden echter veel meer dan enkel game. In hun collectie vind je een uitgebreid aanbod van Films, DVD's Blu-Rays, Muziek CD's, Games, Consoles, Electronica, computers,... Een leuke aardigheid is dat ze op ALLES gratis verzending aanbieden en hun prijzen voor vele zaken zeer scherp zijn.

Zo was op moment van schrijven Midnight Club: Los Angeles, voor PS3 (Playstation 3) hier te koop voor €23,49 incl verzending, waar hij in onze locale gaming winkel nog vlot €54 stond.



Het aanmaken van een accoutn verliep heel vlot. Betaling kan gebeuren via credit card.

Wat me ook op viel is dat ze hier Assassin's Creed (Platinum) aanbieden voor slechts €12.99 incl verzending. Persoonlijk vind ik dit een super spel, en dus zeker voor de mensen die dit nog niet hebben is dit zeker zijn geld waard!!!

Playstation 3 en Games kopen

Als je de vergelijking maakt is de playstation 3 console op zich vrij "goedkoop". Voor de prijs van €250,00 tot €399,00 heb je tegenwoordig reeds een playstation console met al dan niet extra games en een controler bij. Deze functioneer ineens als Blu-Ray speler, media streamer, media center, DVD speler (met upscaling functionaliteit), CD speler,...

Kortweg, enkel al de Blu-Ray functie is zijn geld waart. Het is trouwens al meerdere keren bewezen via tests dat de PS3 o pdit moment de beste Blu-Ray speler o pde markt is. Hierbij komt dat de ondersteuning en software updates zeer goed zijn waardoor je vrijwel zeker kan zijn dat je steeds de laatste functionaliteiten in de console hebt.

Wat is dan wel duur?
Het aankopen van games!!!

Als ik naar de games kijk kosten ze ongeveer €60 a €65 als ze uit komen. De gamen die veel verkopen krijgen na een tijdje een Platinum uitgave waardoor ze €25 a €29 kosten.
Als je dus, zoals ik niet wil wachten op de platinum versie ben je na 10 games aan te kopen, al snel €600 kwijt, wat bijna 2* de kostprijs van de console is. Vandaar dat het zoeken naar goedkope games, of goedkope aanbiedingen je serieus wat geld kan besparen.

De mogelijkheid van het wachten op een Platinum game is dus mogelijkheid 1.

Daarnaast kan je natuurlijk ook online shops raadplagen of locale winkels die leuke aanbiedingen hebben. Zo kwam ik bij Play.com terecht. Meer hierover in een andere post.

PPC Utilities: Phone Timer

Turn on and off your phone automatic at set times.

Description:
Phone timer is a simple application to trun on/off GSM on schedule. Turning off the GSM function is the same as activating your "Flight mode". You can setup your weekly schedule for each day and get a nice sleep each night without having to remember turning on your phone in the morning.

PPC Utilities: Kick-Off

Since a few years, I am using a Pocket PC device. Later, the caller function (gsm) was added, so that now, your phone can act as a small Personal Computer.

One of the things I like a lot about the Windows Mobile phones, is the possibility to customize the phone, add programs and functions, change the layout and so on...

The next few weeks, I will be posting about programs I use and their benefits and functionalities.

Grande Home Touchscreen schakelaars

Domotica kan een dure investering zijn en is zeker in bestaande huizen niet steeds eenvoudig te installeren. Op de bouw en reno beurs kwam ik op de stand van Grande Home terecht. Zij bieden hiervoor een eenvoudige en redelijk betaalbare oplossing. Bestaande lichtschakelaar kunnen vervangen worden door touchscreens die onderling met elkaar communiceren over het bestaande lichtnet. Het trekken van extra kabel is dus niet nodig.

Iets wat ik zeker later eens in detail zal bekijken.
