Girl Spins On Escalator Thanks to Physics or Magic

LOL!!!
clipped from gizmodo.com
There are moments in which, for whatever reason, being it a scientific discovery, a voyage into the unknown, or somebody's excessive alcohol intake, humanity advances one step forward into its destiny, a final state of clarity and peace that will take us all to the stars. This moment complies with the three reasons. Ah, you Ms. Spinning Blonde in Jeans you. We love you.

BMW’s Shape Shifting Vehicle: GINA Light Visionary Model

Nice concept!
gina-bmw-concept-vehicle

Watch the video (after the ‘leap’), but in short this is purely a conceptual BMW called the GINA.  It’s covered in a polyurethane-coated Lycra fabric and sports embedded LEDs.  According to its lead designer, Chris Bangle, it took them about two hours to cover the Z8 chassis once the shape had been determined.

Ronn Scorpion

WAUW!!!
clipped from www.uncrate.com

It appears independent car makers are stepping up amid crazy gas prices to bring some stylish green into our lives. The just-announced Scorpion ($TBA) from Ronn Motor Company is a sexy speedster that will run on a 30-40 ratio blend of gas and hydrogen, promising around 40 mpg efficiency while still being able to hit 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. The fuel for the hydrogen-on-demand system is "derived from fracturing water molecules drawn from a small on board water tank, and will not require a high pressure, on board hydrogen storage tank or hydrogen fueling station," according to the company. The carbon fiber beauty is now in pre-production, with availability scheduled for this fall.

Sony Ericsson's 8.1 megapixel C905 breaks free

Dit begint er stilaan op te trekken als echte camera phone!!!
No surprises here but at least Sony Ericsson's C905 Cyber-shot is now official. As a camera, we're talking Xenon flash, face detection, image stabilization and 8.1 megapixels crammed into a tiny sensor of unspecified make or dimensions. As a phone we're looking at quad-band GSM (9-hours talk / 380 hours standby) and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100 on the C905a worldphone variant. It also comes packing an auto-rotating, 2.4-inch scratch-resistant QVGA display, aGPS with Google Maps, A2DP stereo Bluetooth, TV-out, 2GB of included Memory Stick Micro (M2), and WiFi with DLNA support when this slider is loosed upon the globe in Q4. Check the gallery here.

HTC Touch Diamond boot video, for your eyes only

Also the new HTC Touch PRO will be released soon. This will be the follow up for the HTC TyTN II.
If it has the same interface as shown on this video, it will be awesome!!!
For those of you who absolutely, positively can't wait to see more of the Touch Diamond in action, the folks over at pocketnow are giving you a taste of what it's like to hold one in your hands. Apparently, when you boot up the phone you're greeted with a helpful video showing you how to navigate the heavily-skinned version of Windows Mobile (AKA Touch Flo 3D) that it sports. Needless to say, it's smoother than a baby's bottom. Not that we'd know. Video after the break in its full 640 x 480 resolution.

Telenet "verdubbelt" zijn snelheid

Onderstaande mail zat recent in mijn inbox.

clipped from webemail.telenet.be

Beste klant,

Gerucht: 40 gig PS3 krijgt backwards compatibily via software emulatie?

Dit zou geweldig nieuws zijn. Hopelijk is het gerucht correct!!!
clipped from www.evilgamerz.com

PlayStation Home Arriving This Year...

Finally!
clipped from gizmodo.com

The good news: those of us still looking forward to Sony's virtual world platform called PlayStation Home will be happy to know that it's arriving in 2008. The potentially bad news: it's arriving in "open, working beta" form. You know, like Google Everything. (To their defense, Sony actually fessed up to this obvious comparison, describing Home's rollout as "similar to Gmail.") My guess is that this beta angle is just a way to manage public expectations. And knowing that Sony is finally delivering Home should make us happy, even if a little skeptical. [Wired via Kotaku]

Sony secretly working on a PS3 motion controlling remote?

clipped from www.engadget.com
Considering how little attention the PS3's motion-sensing functionality currently receives, we're not inclined to think that Sony's making an even deeper push into the Wii's territory, but a site called Playstation Lifestyle says that Sony conducted focus-group testing on a controller similar to the Wiimote earlier this year. Apparently the device was mounted on a foot-tall mini-tripod, and was demoed with tennis, fencing, and paintball mini-games, as well as used to play Quake on a laptop. That's not to say that Sony's ever going to bring this stuff to market, but it would certainly be interesting if it did -- and coupled with those persistent Xbox 360 remote rumors, the gaming landscape could suddenly be overrun with people miming tennis.

Touchscreen Poker Table Antes Up to $30K

Cool!
clipped from gizmodo.com

Everyone knows that the casino with the most flash often gets the most business. So, if you are looking to take a few dollars out of your friends' paychecks on Saturday night, lure them over with the X10 Ten Player Automated Poker Table. It features 10 12.1-inch touchscreens for the players and a 27-inch LCD in the center of the table that handles community cards and chip amounts for the entire table.

The table comes pre-configured with blackjack and Texas Hold Em' and can deal up to 50 hands in an hour. It can even allow users to play both games simultaneously. In other words, it completely eliminates the need for cards, chips and a dealer for maximum gambling efficiency. Games like this are already available in many casinos, but if you want to get one for your home, you had better fine-tune your card-counting system, because it will cost you around $30,000.
